The Australian National Herbarium at CSIRO in Canberra (Australia) is advertising a postdoctoral fellowship in Experimental Molecular Microbiology. The postdoctoral fellow will be a part of a project with the overall objective of building a platform for reliable resynthesis of a lichen symbiosis. The two main aims of the project are to:
Create novel devices to manipulate interactions among symbionts and lichen-colonising microbes;
Use ‘omic approaches to characterise key features of lichen development.
This role will work in conjunction with experts on ‘omics, device design and fabrication, and network modelling.
